Alan Keyes; that guy is a complete wacko! I never felt Martin Luther King ever sounded like a wacko.

Well yes. I have gotten chills by listening to Keyes, but find the tactic in Keyes' speeches more Henryian than Kingian (grin). Dust off some of those grade school books and reread Henry's speeches. You may well come away with a few chills and a desire to kill a Brit to boot. That fella surely had a way with words!

I think Keyes by far the greatest political orator living in this country today. Mario Cuomo and the like simply cannot slash, hammer and rebuild an issue like Keyes. Neither do they have that indescribable something in the voice that lunges at you that I hear in Keyes. When Keyes speaks, your heart burns and your mind percolates. Regardless of your politics you will feel and think things when you hear this man.

Is he Great enough to change history in the same manner as King or Henry? Perhaps he is. He certainly has that rare combination of passion and intellect found in truly great orators. We will see.
