Patricia, the worst thing to happen in this country was when we accepted men's dishonest actions as "The seven year itch". As if it was some lightly taken issue they could laugh about at the local bar. I'm glad your talents allowed you to survive and prosper under such an experience. It's a real shame we can't raise more men to believe in the principles of honoring a woman in marriage and treating them with respect and dignity. When you are in a loving marriage why should a couple look at money as if it's his or hers? I guess I've been lucky that my wife was willing to risk putting her career aside in order to be home and raise the kids. Having one of the parents home raising the children is the greatest gift we can give to the next generation IMO. There are of course single parents (I'm sure like yourself) who have done a wonderful job raising the children on their own. Unfortunately the odds are seriously stacked against the arrangement.
