Nice thread Daniel! One or two picks to watch **SYCD and ITOY** Please do your DD.... these are speculative but in very hot unique niche markets with quality proven management. They both suffer from a shortage or ease of doing DD, (like many BB stocks) which is holding their price down for now. SYCD is the safer of the two with a 5 bagger (old highs) very possible. ITOY has the most powerful management for a potentially staggering gain over the next 3-9 months if things pan out. Rumor is that SFLK investors that ran that from $1.25 to $8.00 in 3 weeks coming in. But may be strong or weak for the next few days, depending on whether important news comes out this week or not, following the big toy show in NYC last week. First one to watch ** ITOY ** Imagin.Net Incorporated, Toy Retailer, Says it Will Be A Top-Of-List Company With Toy Characters On Computer Games In 1999. It may be early to invest but they were at the big NYC toy show last week in high level distribution and production negotiations. This is a longer term stock... not a mo mo play High $3.38 Low: 3/8 Currently: $.93 (and closer than ever to major agreements....NYC toy show last week) O/S and float: 6mil/1mil? from what I can see, but when they get the new transfer agent, we will know for sure. MM's a little sleazy on this stock, but company hired a consultant with connections to the NASD and enforcement to clean it up; they want this stock to trade "squeeky clean" and fair, so new investors will have no reason not to invest if they like what they see. Management: Lanette Orduna, the "founder of the talking toy" and Gene Lipkin , formerly a Pres. of Atari, as its Bus. Development Exec. when Atari was in its heydey as a $2 Billion company. Both are really well known in the toy industry. which will open doors easier for them. REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Dec. 16 -- In the last 10 years the world has changed fast, and most toy companies have not changed with it. That is the main reason Imagin.Net (OTC Bulletin Board: ITOY) is in the process of carrying out its business plan, exploring various opportunities that will enable it to achieve its goals. Industry sales for educational software, such as toy characters on computer games, jumped 24% from January to October, as traditional toy sales fell 6%, according to NPD group statistics. Imagin.Net is a toy manufacturer and distributor which creates toys that are chip-equipped and hook into a PC; unlike other similar types, the toys work with a special internet web, creating literally a never-ending, always- growing toy for the child. Interaction with the web improves the child's skills with wholesome play tools. Other toy companies limit themselves to CD-ROM software; Imagin.Net uses the vast power of the internet. The proprietary technology of the delivery system allows ITOY different methods of play and interaction -- simpler and less expensive than anyone else. These are toys with extended life and versatility. Management says it has received strong indications of licensing interest from very large toy makers, and will definitely be more than a one-trick pony in 1999. *********** Syco-NET.....don't ya just love the name...President Sy Picone High: $1.80 LOW: 22 cents Now: 35 cents SYCD is priced near a 52 week low with excellent news and under 2 million in the float. Check the thread. Great news may be coming in the next 2-10 days. Pretty safe to buy in the 30-50's. Lots in at .65-.72 in the last 3 weeks. Quiet now...watch for volume increase. New PR firm hired to get the word out on the great progress they are making. Was just at $1.80 in Novemeber, 1998, and fell primarily because the company screwed up and gave too many people 50 cents stock, non-restricted. When it started tradin in November at $1.50 and stalled a bit at $1,80, the selling started and kept going. The MM's took it all the way down to 25-30 cents on a panic move. But that is the only reason the stock sits at this level. Fundamentals are good and again this is a high growth area...Japanese Anime is a $225 million market and they are one of the top 2 in this areas. They are diversified in other areas too....apparel, toys, etc. Check news and watch this one if you are interested. I've spoken to Sy Picone, CEO, and he is first class and has created a really nice company here. Again, I am expecting big news, so track volume.
