Jeff,

I asked the same question way back in the Voodoo2 days. It seems that the Voodoo2 architechture just couldn't do that because it didn't have a unified memory architure. This isn't true with Voodoo3. I know of no technical reason why they couldn't do it.

Does anybody know for a fact that Voodoo3 can't? If it can't maybe it can use the second pipeline for supersampling or trilinear filtering?
