<<Christine, My personal opinion is that there should be no abortions after the 24th
week, unless the life of the mother was at risk, or there were gross deformities in
the fetus. Before the 24th week there is not enough development in the nervous
system to feel pain.

I see that you are succumbing to the right wing propaganda by starting to call a fetus
a baby. By definition it is incorrect. Both sides need to give a little. We also should
not go back to the days when all abortion was illegal. In the meantime, no doctor or
woman should be punished who is within the law.>>

Del, if you will reread the post where you are alleging that I called a fetus a baby, you will note that I did it only in reference to a full-term baby and partial birth abortion. I do believe that a normal, VIABLE fetus is a baby. Certainly it is a baby unless it is murdered by having its brain sucked out. As far as your argument that a fetus less than 24 weeks' gestation feels no pain, how can you know that? Fetuses that young dream, masturbate, and do all sorts of other things that would indicate that their nerve endings are very well developed. Again, you seem to have bought into the entire pro-abortion platform without doing much of your own research.
