The stock closed at 151 Friday, down 7-1/2. -- Shipping lines in the North Atlantic trade proposed an agreement that would allow them to exchange market information in hopes of cutting costs, the Wall Street Journal reported. Sea-Land Service Inc., a unit of CSX Corp. (NYSE:CSX - news), is among the participants in the deal. CSX closed at 40-3/4, down 1, on Friday. -- WavePhore Inc. (Nasdaq:WAVO - news), a provider of services for wireless data broadcasting systems, said Tuesday it had hired Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette to advise the company on mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships and future growth. WavePhore closed at 7-5/16 on Friday, up 1/16. -- Patriot American Hospitality Inc. (NYSE:PAH - news). is expected to announce it will deal exclusively with Apollo Real Estate Advisors to ease its liquidity crisis, the Wall Street Journal reported. Patriot American shares fell 5/16 to 5-5/8 Friday. -- Peru is investigating whether Engelhard Corp. (NYSE:EC - news) played a role in an attempt to defraud Peruvian tax collectors, according to the weekly business newspaper Barron's.
