One of the reasons I stopped reading the Gorilla Game thread is that they didn't maintain a portfolio to test the theory.

I believe that EMC is in an emerging market that is early in its Tornado stage. EMC has been the King of mainframe storage (or a Prince), but the new market is being driven by the Internet.

Network Appliance (NTAP), CPQ, Auspex, and a host of others are all competing in this tornado. EMC will either play in this game or be swept away, much as mainframes were. I do believe that EMC is/will play at it hard, but there is no King or Gorilla.
