If you can't dazzle them with brilliance baffle them with bs, right Ian. Dilution is much misunderstood and its easy to make it look like a 'bad' thing. As it applies to VNE, I think a reasonable point of view would be that as long as they raise money at levels above book value per share, they are doing a service to existing shareholders.

It generally looks like they've been doing this. Of course, if they just blow the money, no value will be created for shareholders. However, I think VNE's great track record of developing software, content, and attracting business and jv partners speaks for itself. The great thing about developing internet assets is the huge leverage it provides.

VNE looks like a stock that has the management ability and will have the financial resourses to have a legitimate shot at becoming a serious net player. But for Ian to keep trying to value it by the same standards as billion dollar blue chips is just getting more and more bizarre.
