Microsofts 'COOL'!
infoworld.com

For its next generation of tools, however, Microsoft is building a Java-like development model, code-named COOL (C++ object oriented language), that brings COM+ support to C++ developers, Leake said.

Hey, I have a personal computer PC at home! (not an iMac Macintoch?)
I drive a car vehicle, I like to drink carbonated soda.
I like H2O water. When I use ice cubes in my drinks, I like em to be ice cold. Ice cold ice cubes is what makes ice cubes ice cubes.
A failsafe system fails when it fails to fail safely.

Regurgitational Redundancies. Have a pizza.
C++ Object Oriented Language, eh?

So Microsoft should not be allowed to market new products? Are you suggesting that if a company writes a product or has a new idea, they are the only ones that should be able to have that product?

Microsoft has never come up with a new product, it has only ripped off other peoples products, often including source code. For instance, video for windows contains source code stolen from Quicktime. To avoid being sued when this was discovered, Microsoft entered into a cross licensing agreement with Apple. Stac is another example... but the truth is, this is a rampant problem. Another example: realvideo. The only reason Microsoft is able to get away with this is they pay the people off when they get caught. How many times haven't they gotten caught one has to wonder.

Yeah, that makes sense. What we want to do is take the one industry where the US leads the world and then crush it. Great idea.

Microsoft has already crushed it.

Crush success at all costs.

Your problem is you have never once understood (in the last year here) that its not success that's the problem, its criminal activity. If Microsoft were a successful company because it competes by producing better products, that would be great, I'd be a stockholder. However, Microsoft is a success by using illegal means to kill competition.

And didn't you used to work there, Dragonfly?

Yes, I am speaking from direct experience. Boy were they pissed when I left. My manager said "You can't leave Microsoft!" As if it was the Mafia or something.. oh, wait, it is just like the Mafia: Extortion (Ship IE or we kill Mac Office), Theft (Code and technology from everywhere), Fraud (You buy a PC, you have to buy windows. Windows license gives you right ot refund if you don't use it, but Microsoft won't honor it!) etc. etc.
