Burke,

I am assuming you are married. When in the name of hell do you have time for sex.

Just a view from the porch,

You are playing the seasonal card without any backup. Please show me where Dell loses market share 3q to 4q every year.

Michael, probably never have. But with the heavy consumer demand for for those sub $1K machines in retail, this year was different. The insignificance of this, was pointed out by IDC. You just choose to ignore it.

Second, only revenues????!!!!! What do you get paid in, units of something? Every industry measures in revenues except this one? Don't think so.

I don't believe DELL saw a revs decline, not by a long shot. Or GTW or CPQ or HWP. Maybe IBM. (Man, I hate to mention those names here <g>). But the point is with over 50% of the market still being commanded by "no-names", industry revs could continue to shrink (I don't think they will) for some time while the big players continue to grow; revs, eps, units, etc..
