Medi-Ject To Sell Needle-Free Insulin On Internet
MINNEAPOLIS (Reuters) - Medi-Ject Corp. (Nasdaq:MEDJD - news) said Tuesday it will offer its needle-free insulin injection system for sale on its Web site.

Medi-Ject makes hand-held injectors that deposit pharmaceuticals, including insulin and growth hormone, under the skin without a needle through the use of pressure.

''We have been operating a successful Web site for two years, receiving inquiries from around the world, said Dr. Franklin Pass, chairman and chief executive officer of Medi-Ject. ''The addition of E-commerce capabilities will greatly expand our ability to support people seeking a proven and reliable alternative to frequent self-injection with a needle.''

The company said by linking Internet advertisements to its commercial Web site, it will obtain a broader customer base. Previously, Medi-Ject's Web site was previously used only to provide information to it customers.

Medi-Ject's Web site can be found at mediject.com.
