>>>Doom Here's their goofball scenario: Computers everywhere will choke when the calendar flips to 00. So will 50 billion embedded chips. The power grid will fail. No lights. No heat. No phone. No banks or ATMs. No juice for pumps, so no water, no gas. No gas means no food deliveries.

It gets worse.....<<<<

jwk--Let's see...no office, no phone, no way to effectively implement a plan...hmmm...And the version I read quoted Bettinelli saying he had asked for conscripts familiar with computers to be seconded (?) to the millennium project from the armed forces?...What does that mean? Just how many troops do they think they presently have that have any computer experience not to mention the right experience not to mention engineers?

I love it..."familiar with computers?"..."conscripts seconded?"

When they figure out they've got squat are they gonna draft my cousin Francesco who can barely work his 486? He's "familiar with computers"...well, sort of.

Gotta call my Aunt Grace. We gotta stock up on olive oil. Gotta call Francesco...remember the family motto gambino, "We don't know nuthin'"

ROTFLMAO
