Nothing to worry (or cheer) about. ARTI makes silicon libraries which 3Dfx uses for design and TSMC uses for fabrication. ST

piranha -- dl.freerealtime.com << Artisan and TSMC have been working together since last August under the free library program to provide foundry customers with a complete 0.25-micron library, eliminating the traditional non-recurring engineering (NRE) costs, usage fees and other barriers to starting a design process in advanced technologies. >> This is an extremely important development in the computer industry. It means the barriers for entry to making a complex chip are lowered. A graduate student or other individual will find it easier to get a design manufactured cheaply.
