<<She's obviously bitter toward men ...>>

Over simplifying, me thinks. I noticed once when I mentioned "my daughters," I got a couple of snide comments about calling them "my" daughters from lorrie. Michelle and lorrie are pipes on the same wind chime so I think it applies.

That bothered me for a while. Yes, they are my daughters. Responsibility for keeping their fingers off the hot stove as 3 year olds is mine. Responsibility for feeding them nutritious food in their youth is mine. Responibility for housing, clothing, education, enterainment etc., is mine.

It took me a while to figure out what problem lorrie had with my referring to them as "my" daughters. So, here it is. If you read their posts they see other people as useful. Some thing to be possessed and used as needed, and discarded when not. Consequently they must be interpreting our relations through their own eyes. When we say "my wife" or "my children (especially daughters)" they think our referent is to possessions. They can't allow them selves to see it anyother way. It would probably cause a crack in their already leaking buckets.
