Rande: re ILNK..not sure I understand al the politics involved here.My feeling is that this is something which is most definitely the future but has not had its turn for fad status.

Here is a bullish view on the recent news from Yahoo:

WorldCom News...

There's a lot of bad blood with I-Link. They overpromised and underdelivered. I
was on in during the old Worldcom days, but SLC is a huge center for WCOM
fiber and it would make sense for them to come to terms and get on with
business.

What's exciting is that the I-Link story is really quite explosive. Do your own
research. Telogy has 85% of the Voice Over IP software market - their clients
are Nortell and Cisco...strangers to the telco and more apt to get in bed with
large cos. for one-off solutions that employ more feature-rich IP services. This
is the old PBX corporate market that's huge. This is NOT I-Link's market.

I-Link is going after the small businessman, entrepreneur and retail client. It
really makes a lot of sense to pay I-Link the extra $14.95 for these expanded
services rather than your RBOC where the stuff is "locked in" prices are higher
and systems are closed.

I-Link is waiting for this point of leverage to come together - where the
momemtum behind the buildout and the support from Worldcom come together
for a smooth and efficient rollout.

Unified messaging is HUGE! The power behind this technology is nothing like
you've ever seen. Problem is that the average I-Link rep is not using these
features. It's takes a lot of handholding, explaining and training to get the average
rep up to speed on the power behind this. At some point the light goes on and
from there on whomever you talk to wants to learn more or wants the product,
period.

Now is the time to build up the positive mindshare behind I-Link's massive
potential ahead. The nationwide rollout will help this process greatly.

Worldcom's support means a lot here.
