I would think that Compaq, Dell, Gateway, etc. would all see Y2K as a bonanza, not a threat. I know many small businesses and non-profits around here who are replacing their PCs as an easy way out of Y2k problems. Multiply that nationally and worldwide, and it's huge! As I am long on more box maker stocks than I probably should be, I've done an about-face on Y2K. I say bring it on! But I'm still worried about the impact on foreign banks, governments and manufacturers who haven't yet woken up to the problem.
