I'm not aware of a med chem dept in Virginia. You sure that's not Production or Marketing?

And the East Coast, where big pharma is, has become as expensive. If there were any pharma in Texas - you can bet your last dollar it'd be in Houston, which is Boston-on-the-Gulf. High crime and repressive gun laws.

I want OUT of urban America. I want to leave the urban do-gooder liberals way behind and "loan" a quart of tractor oil to folks like jp and Ish.

You know, I really haven't until now considered how lucky we born and bred Midwesterners are. My career progression has been from Big Urban Area (Chicago) to Not So Big Urban Area (St. Louis) to Small Urban, Almost Big Rural Area (Springfield, MO) and in each case my standard of living, job satisfaction and quality of life in general have improved greatly.
