We use monitoring devices usually only in the case of legal battles as to the possible impotence 2nd to trauma or work accidents. Mostly a waste of time. Too easily manipulated by the patient to show what he wants. If you test over a period of two or three nights you should find erections at some time in psychogenic impotence. Not necessarily every night. Most men will have two or three good erections per night under good conditions. Not much help when you are asleep tho. It's actually cheaper to treat the patient and see the response than to go through all the testing.
