A computer on every desk.....?? can you remember...when...not everyone had a computer....in the office??....anyone notice.....that now...people are getting multiple computers...in their bull pens? Particularly as the "Interactive industry" catches fire.......?? So...businesses have hardly...reached "saturation"...on computers... AND at home...well ...what can I say...other than "WOW" Many projections...of PC penetration are based on 1 PC per home... even as....many households...are already...multiple computer owners... Yes...Michael is right about broad band...as people get faster access...they appreciate it...and use their computer more... what does more usage mean....may as well upgrade....and give the older dells to the kids...or vice versa...lol...(kids give the older dells to the moms & dads).. satisfaction...breeds recommendations...so Dell's "service" model...breeds more customers... there is also...a huge movement to computer usage by the retired community... buying them...themselves...and having their kids...set them up....(I set up both my parents...and know of many other people....who....are doing the same....it is a great way to communicate).. College market....everything...I see....says...MORE PC's...not fewer... and more and more inhome LANS.... the Internet...gives people a reason...to use their computers...information, e mail and e commerce.... Analogy....TVs.....telephones.....we used to have one in the home......how many do you have now?????? sheesh....how many have only one phone line coming in.....kinda amusing... We are just at the beginning of the "MASSES" getting online...just the beginnning.... sit back.....and enjoy it! smile....Mary (okay..that's my cheerleading for the day...until 5:30...at least...haha)
