IPVoice Communications Inc. Announces Successful Testing of IPTelphony Gateways Prior to Deployment of Systems Worldwide

February 16, 1999 09:01 AM
LITTLETON, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 16, 1999--

Engineering division of IPVC reports excellent communications and anticipates installation of IPGateways to international locations shortly.

IPVoice Communications Inc. IPVC today announced the testing of IPTelephony Gateways between Europe and the United States.

Co-founder of IPVC Anthony K. Welch stated, "Our initial testing of IPTelephony Gateways has met with great success and we are extremely pleased with the testing of our IPTelephony Gateway. We are anticipating an early deployment of our Gateways to international locations as a result of the high quality we have found during our testing."

Commenting on the testing of the IPGateways Chairperson, Co-founder and President of IPVC Barbara S. Will said, "We have previously reported that we have signed agreements from many customers in both domestic and international markets. We plan to deploy our IPTelephony Gateways to international markets shortly with an already established customer base.

"We are working with several telecom companies to switch their customer base to our Internet Telephony system. This will generate immediate sales revenue for IPVC and should provide us with $6 million in revenues in our first year of operation.

"Longer term, we believe we shall be installing 38 Gateways throughout the world with our TrueConnect partners which should result in net profits of at least $2 million by the end of our first year. We see 107 IPVoice TrueConnect Gateways being installed worldwide, producing sales revenue by the end of our third year of at least $25 million."

IPVoice is an Internet Telephony company whose unique software technology and applications will allow companies and individuals to route telephone calls, faxes and other data across the Internet, with limited sacrifice of quality compared to traditional telephone networks, at a substantial cost savings with unparalleled attendant services.

Said Vice President of IPVoice research and development Mike McKim recently, "We are very confident in our TrueConnect Gateway, and expect this year to compete successfully with companies like Inter-Tel INTL and VocalTec VOCLF in providing the best Internet Telephony software and services available."

To support TrueConnect, IPVC has developed proprietary support products in the areas of order entry, billing, customer service, agent management and a switching network management system.
