That just goes to show closed-minded extremists like yourself can be.

Actually, TP, the evangelical churches are the fastest growing segment of the religious community, and include people from all walks of life. If you include traditionalists from the Catholic Church, Orthodoxy, and the mainline Protestant denominations, and Orthodox Jews, Muslims, and Mormons, you are talking about most of the country at least leaning towards conservative positions on social issues. Maybe that is why Ellie Smeal's group got the results it did: 53% of women against abortion, 41% (a plurality) thinking that the Republicans had values that would have a positive impact on their lives, etc. Your fantasy of Radical enclaves is interesting, but unreflective of reality.
Oh, and by the way, if Bush had kept Southern Evangelicals at the same level as Reagan, he would have won in '92. It was Clinton's Bible toting, "I'm a good old Southern Baptist", "I just love revival meetings" stuff that split off enough of the Evangelical vote (about 30%) to make the difference. Bill knows the value of religious voters, even if he sucker- punches them.
