Thank you Charles. Great reading. Can you comment on www.gold-eagle.com or Ted Butler. Thanks.

For anyone invested in BRK, I HIGHLY recommend finding a way to get a copy of the report by Alice Schroeder at PainWebber. The General Re deal is much better than I imagined. BUY IT or find someone who is a Paine Webber client... or simply open a small account at Paine Webber.

(BTW, I have no association with PaineWebber (although I used to have an account). A colleague of mine got me a copy.)

As stated in the article: "As Mr. Buffett commented in the press conference when the deal was announced, 'We are creating Fort Knox.'"

Given the amazing history of BRK, Andres Kilpatrick states in "Of Permanent Value: The Story of Warren Buffett" the following:

"The General Re purchase is Berkshire's watershed event in all its fabled history since its early days as a struggling textile mill."

And, stated by Warren on September 16, 1998: "We should be number one by a significant margin in the world reinsurance market in ten to 15 years."

As a general rule, Warren is not known for overstatement.

No brag, just FACT.

Best to ALL BRK investors and later, leroyt
