Michael Murphy of the Cal Tech letter recently did an interview with SI's Mark Johnson, and Murphy was bullish on biotechs in 1999. But then again, he's bullish on techs all the time :).

He thought that the number of drugs approved would increase substantially from last year, some companies would turn a profit that to date have not, and that the FDA was very in tune with getting drugs moved through the approval process.

FWIW, Johnson's interview with Murphy is at audioinvestor.com

Let me add my 2 cents. I am a Pharmacist who has been in retail and research for over 25 years. Sepracor JUST came to my attention and I have done MY reseach on it and what it is doing..Frankly it excites me to noooooo end. This Company is going to made gads of$$$$.
ICE is a fact of life nothing new..they have made a company based on ice and will reap the benefit. Other companies have not had the desire to persure this line instead they tried the time tested ways to get a new drug entity to market. Believe me ICE is the way to go to deliver $$$ on a timely basis.
I need help....ML has added Sepracor 7% 12/15/05 to its convertable list....I cannot find its trading symbol of where it trades. Being from Canada I need my American friends help.
I would like to know its symbol, conversion rate, coupon is 7%.

In the electronics and computer industry, there are huge cross licensing agreements between almost every player. these are hardly ever mentioned, but I doubt that the agreements are royalty free. You would be surprised who actually holds the patents for some very key computer technology -- it ain't always IBM, believe me.
