The frigate was the first in the region to be tested for potential year 2000, or Y2K, problems. The only oddities appeared to be a computer display that seemed to recognize a new year while still reading "12/31/99" and a round clock on the wall with its hands stuck at 5:00, thanks to dead batteries.<<<<
