Given what I know about evangelical Christians (I grew up in rural Alabama) I think they tend to voice their opinions more frequently than the average American and are heavily represented on this thread. IMO this is an outgrowth of their religion, to convert others.

Evangelicals are a growing force in this country however on the coasts younger people appear to moving in the opposite direction. (I've also lived in Washington state and Boston) I also base this opinion on what cultural content is popular among people under the age of 30.
