YZ, now don't get upset. I know you don't want me to post to you. So I will call a truce <g>.

From your original post:

25-Nov-98 Sold 650,000
24-Nov-98 Sold 1,750,000
23-Nov-98 Sold 1,600,000
23-Nov-98 Planned Sale 4,000,000

By your calculation this represents a sale of 8,000,000 shares? I don't think so. Don't you think the dates are a bit of a tip off?

20-Nov-98 Disposed 791,300
19-Nov-98 Sold 1,150,000
18-Nov-98 Disposed 184,375
18-Nov-98 Planned Sale 4,000,000

By your calculation this represents a sale of 6,000,000+ shares? I don't think so. Don't you think the dates are a bit of a tip off?

24-Sep-98 Sold 4,050,000
24-Sep-98 Planned Sale 4,000,000

By your calculation this represents a sale of 8,000,000+ shares? I don't think so. Don't you think the dates are a bit of a tip off?

And finally, see Tom's post #reply-7473926 and follow the link. As he so aptly points out, there is a NASDAQ rule that would have limited Michael Dell to selling approx. 13M shares in any quarter. By your calculation, he would have sold over 25M in the Sept-Nov quarter.

I hope this clarifies the situation. Also, please try to post with a little more respect, and you might receive some in return. Thanks.

Gary
