Anybody follow AMAT closely enough to know how the geographic mix has changed in the backlog? >>Geographically, North America new orders for the first fiscal quarter of 1999 were 38 percent of the Company's total new orders, Europe 17 percent, Japan 20 percent, Korea 6 percent, Taiwan 14 percent and Southeast Asia and China 5 percent. Backlog at the end of the first fiscal quarter of 1999 increased to $1.15 billion, from $917 million at the end of the fourth fiscal quarter of 1998. <<
