I think the split was a bone tossed to appease the masses who will hate the numbers, maybe stave off a few pissed off shareholders.

i know exactly what you're saying.
the current environment does take some of the sheen off a split.
but with a company like this, it's really about how long you've been around, and how long you plan to stay.

quite frankly i am very grateful.
a new foundation to build from, at 40, or 45, with double again the shares, is just fine with me.
