Anything can happen after the conference call. Then again, Instinet traders (cluck, cluck?) could be right for once. ;-)

Personally, I think Dell below 80 is on sale.

That report looks pretty good to me. Operating margins at 11.4% for the fourth quarter, revenue up 39% over the year ago quarter in the US, 40% in Europe and 30% in Asia.

But it's all about expectations. I have a long position in Dell, established a while back, and I think I'll just hold on to it.

One thing that looks bad is that split, though. I believe that the board could not have believed that the reaction to this earnings report would be negative, or they wouldn't have decided to split. It's quite possible that the decision to split was made a few weeks ago, when the stock was around 100.
