Are you saying that that is good news or am I missing your point. Saying something I own might be worth at most $20 per sh in three years, and might be worth $1 in three years doesn't make me all warm and fuzzy???? I noticed when I pulled up a quote on Schwab just now they report trading has been halted. Is Schwab in error??

Hope everyone has a little cash on the side for bargain hunting this week. . .

SGI . . .Silicon Graphics - Not necessarily a bargain. . .this was a turnaround play for a long time. . . now it looks like HP may be interested in buying them:
nypostonline.com It was actually selling in single digits not that long ago. But we are talking a great computer company here. Silicon Graphics PCs were originally designed for graphics and photography use, due to their speed and power. But over the years, web servers have begun requiring similar power. . . so SGI is selling web server oriented PCs. In addition, they bought Cray Research. . . .the company that builds small supercomputers, used by NASA and other U.S. government agencies, as well as corporate clients.

So from 8, SGI moved up over 20 in a remarkable comeback story. Recently, the price has pulled back to 16 and change. Mostly it seems this is due to not so great earnings, IMO. This company needs a good house-cleaning, IMO. . . perhaps a possible buyout is just what the doctor ordered.
