John, in looking at the data I really don't see the reason for panic with the company. Sales were disappointing, but they do not represent a fundamental problem.

Dell is still growing at several times the industry rate, and increasing its market share.

If Pfeiffer is to believed, a lot of Y2K hardware buying will come in later this year. Meredith said the same thing on the cc.

The fact is that revenues were down 5.7% from what analysts expected. This does not impact sales next week or sales next year. That is the point when I say that there is no fundamental erosion.

Keep cool. The crazies will lose their heads.
