If the market saw it, and I am assuming you think they did. Oh well, then I guess it will be a matter of time to see if there is any truth to it. The last "rumor" I followed was that SATH would be offering exciting news via TV and Web cast on Feb.10, and the stock soared from 6 to 30. Of course, it is back to 12 or so now, but then again they had no exciting news, so go figure.

If HP were to purchase SGI, that would indicate to me that some careful study had been done regarding the impact of SGI's new product line and that the changes herald new success for the company. If I were about to purchase a new workstation, I would seriously look at the new NT Box. The college I teach at is considering upgrading our AutoCAD and 3DMax lab to the new SGI NT. I wish the company the best, and maybe need to be a little less hopeful, but I think they are doing some good things to save themselves.
