If there is one constant theme you get when listening to snippets of Dell commentary, it was that this or that segment is growing at 2 or 3 or 4 times the comparable industry growth rate. This can be bad news, of course. -g-

The only absolute guidance seems to be middle digit sequential growth for the next two quarters (comparable to the historical record) and more strength in the second half, not quantified. This should mean that Dell can meet expectations by simply growing at rate of ~25% annualized for the first two quarters and then fall off the edge if the second half strength doesn't come through. In any case, the 38% yr/yr revenue growth rate of the this Q is likely to be higher than anything to be seen in 1999 (FY2000).
