>>So what's wrong with Dell? Their sales came in a few per cent light! There is nothing in the
fundamentals that indicates anything other than a temporary bump on the road. Life is too short to agonize over this. Moral: stop trading and start investing. Hold for the long term.<<

Enjoyed your post and a little of your investment history. I too am a long term shareholder of Dell as I first ventured in this company in the spring of 1997. Never sold a share and bought more along the way. Plan to hold for 10 years and even longer maybe 20 or 30 if I live that long. I guess we long term shareholders torment ourselves by watching the trades each day. I wish I could just ignore the market but I am constantly reminded of the business reports through TV, radio or somebody at work who will walk up to me and remind me how my Dell or Microsoft got slammed. I feel like smacking them one but life has its rules. Yes I guess I am a stock market junkie who has to know what is going on each day. I feel like I am an incurable addict in this regard. I find myself stopping now and then to even pick up a phone when away to check and see what the market and my stocks are doing?? Do you think that others are like me???? Recommend any cure for this??

Best Regards
Frank
