IMO ASM Lithography is an even bigger short !! They had some big orders coming in, yeah but they need many more to even reach their 1996 results yet they already trade at 1996 valuations. There has to come a significant pull back or I will eat my shoes ! Do not get me wrong ASM is a fine company but there is no way it can outpace the general Dutch market by 60% already this year without a good chance to even make their 1996 results again.

<<This is the ANALyst #, how often do you think they're right 1-2 years in advance." >>

Almost never. But consider this: today's report indicates the analysts' estimates are way too low, especially in regard to bookings, which are a forward looking indicator. Applied's bookings have already made up more than half of the difference between the low reported in August of 1998 and the all-time high reported in November of 1997.
