Good morning Hutch, (and others)

I sense hostility in your writing?

On this thread??? Never. LOL

Today's post returns to the Gretsky / NHLPA lawsuit fiasco.

I had to wonder how DinO would know VNE's response to the lawsuit. There's been no public reaction; and certainly the information in DinO's post wasn't shared with the press. Hmmmm, might DavidinOntario really be David Lucatch?

Nahhh. Certainly a CEO would know that bouncing a cheque is seriously frowned upon by the courts. There are even laws against doing such things.

Even more certainly, a CEO would also know that writing a cheque is prima facie evidence that the payor acknowledges a legitimate obligation to the the payee.

And why would a going concern, high flying Internet company, about to get listed on NASDAQ leave a trivial little $60K dispute outstanding?

Only answer I can come up with is that just perhaps, VNE isn't a going concern, and isn't a high flying Internet company and will have a NASDAQ listing when H$%* freezes over.

Just today's random thought.

Have a good one,

Talk with y'all tomorrow, <vbg>
Ian.
