John, I know you are quite bearish and that a lot of your pessimism is based on those nasty charts from the 80's and early 90's. They are frightening and I doubt that anyone on this thread would have the fortitude to outlast (or outlive !) a recurrence of that pattern.
I just think a lot of pressure is building up for higher oil prices and a lot of powerful forces in this world (like Big Oil and OPEC) want higher prices and will do what they have to do to get them. A lot of oil bears are saying that the situation will never change and my experience tells me that situations are always changing. It always seems that yesterday's dogs are today's darlings and vice-versa. These dogs certainly qualify as pure mutts. Why can't they be tomorrow's darling's? They are a critical part of one of the biggest businesses in the world, one that probably does more business in a day than E-commerce does in a year.

Luck,
John

Well,,, I have to admit, I have been following this thread religiously for over a year now occasionally posting when I thought I had something worth while to say. One thing that I have noticed is that the overall sentiment displayed on this thread is a wonderful contrary indicator. Go back and analyze, you will notice that if you took the opposite position of the sentiment of the day,,,you would have made some money. There are alot of people on this thread that are extremely knowledgeable about the industry however that does not necessarily parlay into stock market savvy. The market seems to "always" defy all logic, therefore all the logical reasons these stocks should move a certain way does not guarantee it. The OSS stocks will move when they damn well feel like it regardless of the fundamentals,,,and I can assure you that 3/4 of the "industry experts" will not be on-board when they do. Believe me I have no answers, I am just another frustrated OSS investor.
I do need help however understanding why we should not "back the truck up" (a Sliderism) and load it up with FGI... I need not reiterate the fundamental story here because you guys are well aware. The earnings, the backlog, the future prospects,....
All comments on why we should be cautious of FGI would be appreciated!
