Tom,

Many people have yet to grasp the ramifications of this technology. Digital systems engineers have been dreaming about the concepts behind implementation independent algorithm description languages (IIADLs) for more than a decade. Now it appears the concept is close to becoming a commercial reality.

Change is good. But Star Bridge Systems will need to fight a good battle before the rest of the world realizes and accepts its potential. IMO.

Cheers,
Greg

<<<Do you think David Miller and ~protege have a clue about this technology?>>>

Well, I can't speak for Daniel, but I invite you to ask yourself... who started this thread?

Now, I wouldn't consider myself to be tech savvy. Admittedly, the forecasting of the consequences of this product's implementation into the marketplace by certain individuals would likely be more accurate than mine. But, I do realize that if and when the company is successful in its business plan, we would and could see drastic changes.

To tell you the truth, I think that if more people knew about what exactly is going on here, we might even see this thread on the hot list... who knows? Perhaps you can suggest a more attractive title to the thread (one that may increase exposure/discussion)?

Please remember that the purpose of this thread is for others to speculate as to how they think supercomputing as we know it might be changed by Starbridge's supposedly revolutionary new product. I'm all ears, so please share if you have any insights.

BTW, the existence of this new computer was discovered at slashdot.org .
