HG, level II does not show the emini at all. It is a type of nasdaq quotation that shows ALL the bids and asks -i.e. market makers-... not simply the best bid and ask (a.k.a. level I, which is what you're looking at when you get a realtime quote). I no longer get level II quotes since I don't daytrade much anymore -and that is all it is really useful for imo... very short term stock trading. As for the mini, there are lots of free places on the web with delayed -10 minutes I think- quotes. If you don't know of them, let me know and I'll send you some links. As for realtime mini quotes -unless you get them from your futures broker- you'll have to pay the CME an exchange fee and subscribe to a real-time data service. An interesting idea that someone shared with me over the summer (i don't know if it still works, if at all), is to use quote.com to price the S&P futures in real time -well sort of- for free. Look at the cash s&p and the premium. If both are real time... you should have a rough idea of where the futures are. I have not tried this and cannot vouch for its accuracy so take it FWIW. Talk to you later Regards, Frank

you can get live quotes on the e-mini in a java browser window. you can find the info at www.cme.com

they give you the current bid/ask and size.

what i'd like to see is a way to see the whole book, to be able to take advantage of resting orders in the system. i think you have to had a full blown globex order entry terminal for that.

regards,

ben
