Well, I guess we will only get .4125 LU per ASND share! LOL...

Just kidding. Everything will remain 'relative' to the pre-split deal.

CNBC just said LU split 2:1 -- ASND bid strengthening from 72 1/4 to 72 3/4 in minutes, but may not help today. Why doesn't the market differentiate between DELL and "technology"? The market DELL serves is clearly still very strong; just the competition is catching up to DELL's model and the stock is adjusting its stratospheric valuation to that fact.

Here's the answer to your question, John.

From Bloomberg:

"Lucent which agreed to buy ASND last mo., will swap 1.65 shares for each Asnd share if the acquisition is completed after the stock split, said Jeff Baum, a LU spokesman. The purchase is expected to be completed by June 30."

LU split will be effective on Apr 1 for shareholders as of Mar 5.
