I don't think his quote on "operational effeciencies" is much different than what he has always said...just here, it is taken out as a separate paragraph...Dell has always (along with talking glowingly about the future) talked about how competitive the industry is....

The comment about "on a tear" was also taken out of text...who knows what the full speech said...

I've heard some of the CC....also, pretty consistent with what has been said in the past..(taken out the part about the rev. shortfall <g>)

Look, I agree with you. The quarter did not meet expectations...However, I think it would be a(n investing) mistake to turn it into something it is not: the end game.

Bears need panic here to cash out..They'll probably get some tomorrow...Muni buying in the 70's will support the stock at those levels...Based on what TM said, Dell well positioned for a solid 1st quarter, and 1st half...The dust will settle soon here, cooler heads will prevail...they always do..
