Kash,
I never said that the K7 would run at 1.6v core. Only that when Paul saw that he immediately went and read the article.
2.5v seems about right on .25 but isn't Dresden at .22 already?

If the paper is correct about the 2.5V for the core, then I agree that
this is AMD's standard (<450mhz) .25um process ... The reason for the
1.6V for the PLL is that .25um FET's that have a high duty cycle (50%
or higher) will have lower reliability due to Hot Carrier Injection (HCI).
Intel has spent considerable effort to characterize the difference between
DC HCI and AC HCI.
