To All, Re Dell's report. The numbers weren't the big story this time, though they were awful for such an overpriced stock. The game was the words describing future quarters. I may be overanalyzing the CFO's comments, but here is what I see: 1. Single digit sequential revenue growth. "It's still pretty darned good," he said. <G> 2. Willingness to shave margins.

O.K., if you have lower revenue growth and lower margins, does that mean lower eps growth to anyone else out there? It does where I learned arithmetic, at Farmersville Elementary. <G>

3. Dell admitted they gouged customers last quarter and paid for it with lower revenues. It sounded like they were declaring a price war.

4. They did not use the receivables scam this time as insiders have already sold. Thanks, suckers! <G>

5. The CFO said the next two quarters were "Historically soft." Gee, that kinda wrecks the arguments heard on the Dell thread about why my truth is a lie. <G> Let's see, if 1q and 2q are historically soft, and, according to the Dellbankrupts, 4q is seasonally weak, this co. better have a helluva 3Q. <G>

The stock is toast. Yes, it will bounce today as all the lobotomy types with cash will buy the dip. But then the big money will start to exit, stage left.

Joe Batsinthebelfria was on CNBS today, and he said, "isn't the pc area growing rapidly and isn't Dell the best co.?" For any who might be swayed by this bubblenation shil, no, pcs are growing negatively. And, arguably, Dell may be the best co., but it is also by far the most overpriced stock. Valuation is something Joe rarely mentions, as it doesn't fit his monkey with a buy button personality.

Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play? <G>
