I have no choice, Abraves. I'm stuck. See my holdings in previous post. What do you advise me to do. I can maybe stall my broker till Friday.

To thread: I am a smalltime Dell investor with shares that go quite a ways back. Due to Dells recent decline and a few other recent losses in my account, I'll probably will be looking at a margin call, probably less than $10,000. Personally I am still very bullish on Dell long term and really don't want to sell Dell shares to meet the call.
I can probably scrape up the cash, but not without minor difficulty. Can someone please comment on selling covered calls to generate cash? What months / strikes should be considered? Is this a viable strategy or am I best just to bite the bullet now.

Thanks
Dan
