E-P gave an interview on CNBC European Edition in the London studio yesterday. I caught the tail-end of the repeat. He looked tired, but also relaxed, much more relaxed than usual. The questions and answers I caught were:

Q. YK2 affecting 2nd half 1999 sales.
A. He said the story is changing all the time. But the small and medium sized businesses had left it till the last minute and they would be buying.

Q. Future Directions
A. Computers are going to be everywhere, stores, libraries, schools, in several rooms of the house and cars. Computers are going to be built into appliances of every kind. CPQ is positioning itself for new products.

Q. AV
A. (I missed most of his answer, but it sounded like that morning's "COMPAQ is Mr. Internet" theme).
