Paul, re: "at 184 sq. mm., it will cost a fortune" If AMD can make K7s at all, silicon will be only a small fraction of the ASP. At a meager 25% yield AMD will still get >40 CPUs per 8" wafer. Intel pays for an entire wafer every time it sells ~2 of its PIII processors.
