I thought the most impressive snippet from the DELL cc was that they are selling $14 million a day on the internet. This is up from $10 million at the last earnings report.

I also think it demonstrates the potential for CPQ as it gears up its direct model.

Dell revenue shortfall ...result of late sale

Being an veteran of the computer sales game I can tell you that this is often seen as corporate management lays the blame for a bad quarter on the sales force. The problem can't be caused by something that management did/didn't do. It's those darn sales weenies who didn't make their forecasts. You know, the forecasts that management gave them.

This reflects inexperience. The lack of experience gained in bad times as well as great ones. Perhaps MD and his team will do some growing as a result of this.
