Well said, Peter...Chuzzlewit had properly identified the run from 80-110 as a momentum, parabolic run when the stock was in the low 100's...the bears, have to give them credit, recognized this as well..

However, your comments are apropos...Cooler heads will prevail here...Meredith in the CC said the outlook for '99 is "very robust"....on-line store is good brand extention in the e-space...Dell enters the 1st quarter with strong momentum, strong sales pipeline...Also, given that some look at these seasonal games, Dell marketshare is going to jump nicely in Q1...Also, growth in Q1 '98 was not out-of-the-world, so this should help y-o-y comparisons
when Dell reports its next earnings....

Getting back to 80 puts us back in the long-term (up) trend channel....Even Dell's biggest critics (analysts) like it in that range..... This is a great-managed, incredible grower....Nothing in yesterday's call (or results) suggest that Dell can not meet and even beat First Call's estimate of 5 year growth at 30-35%...E-commerce is a wild-card that may give Dell great support in the coming years..

Nasty gap down, and a little more erosion after...but this is still a cadillac stock....it will be nice to get some of the momos out of here....
