Applied Materials Raised to 'Top Pick' at DLJ

Feb. 17 (Bloomberg Data) -- Applied Materials Inc. (AMAT US) was raised to ''top pick'' from ''buy'' by analyst Robert Maire at Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corp. The 12-month target price is $90.00 per share.

Applied Materials (AMAT): --Update-- DLJ upgrades issue from "buy" to "Top Pick" and sets a new one year price target of $90, citing increasingly positive industry outlook; raises FY99 estimate from $0.80 to $1.22 (P/E 56) and FY00 from $1.67 to $2.10 (P/E 32.5). AMAT indicated 1 1/8 higher.
