Caldera deal for LINUX is a big deal! It is great to see MTI embrace another platform as LINUX is getting more and more steam. All the major server players have announced LINUX servers or PC including IBM, DELL and HP. Red Hat and Caldera are the two leading software companies..Red Hat has the lead on the desktop and is rumored to be going public soon. Caldera is seeming to target more the higher end client server market where MTI plays.Oracle, Informix and Sybase have all written to LINUX. PC Week has reported that Caldera is close to signing Dell and IBM and possibly others also. To date no other RAID players have endorsed LINUX and MTI will be displaying this product primarily targeted at ISP's at LINUX World next week.
